The mixer is widely used for the mixing of solids-solids (powder with powder), solid-slurry (powder and paste liquid) materials in chemical industry, medicine pharmaceutical, compound fertilizer, dyestuff, pigment, rubber, building material, food, milk powder, health care product, aquaculture, biological engineering, fine chemical industry, ceramics, internal fire materials, rare earth, plastic glass, new materials, nuclear energy materials and other industries. The mixer is adaptable to multiple different materials with various physical properties.






The horizontal ribbon mixer is characterized by high efficiency and rapid mixing of materials. Driven by the rotating main shaft, the inner and outer spiral belts can turn the materials in a wide range. The inner spiral belt drives the material to both sides; the outer spiral belt drives the material from two measuring directions inward, so that the material is infiltrated back and forth; at the same time, the material is pushed by the spiral belt and moves along the axial and radial directions, thus forming a convection cycle. Due to the above stirring motion process, the materials can be quickly and uniformly mixed in a short period of time.
Structural Characteristics
The structure of LHY horizontal ribbon mixer is mainly composed of motor, reducer, frame, coupling bearing = stirring ribbon, feed port, discharge port, cylinder, cylinder cover, discharge valve, liquid spray device and other mixing auxiliary components.
The machine is a horizontal cylinder, and the main shaft is provided with two layers of spiral belts. It has a unique material pushing structure. The driving ratio of the inner and outer spiral belts is designed according to the experience of our factory. So that the material in the cylinder does not drop. Retention, circulation, with low noise, low energy consumption, low vibration, low friction, long life performance.
The double ribbon is welded on the ribbon support column to avoid the mixed dead angle caused by the ribbon directly welded to the screw. Especially when mixing sticky materials. A scraper is installed on the spiral belt to meet the requirements of thick mixing.
Under the requirements of different materials and different mixing processes, the equipment can be equipped with a jacket to heat, dry, cool and heat the materials, so that the materials can be physically mixed or chemically reacted under the required stable conditions.
Infiltrate and mix special atomized liquids, and meet the requirements of liquid-powder mixing by adding special nozzles.
Options:
The jacket type heating effect is only used when the material needs to be heated or cooled when mixing a certain formula.
- Oil bath circulation.
- Direct electric heating tube heating and cooling cycle, using water or cold air to circulate and cool. An observation port can be added to the barrel, which is used as a cleaning port in more cases. It is convenient to deal with the condition of replacing the mixed material or accidentally enter the foreign body, or to clean the residue adhering to the cylinder wall.
Bevel gear reducer: It is equipped with a high-power motor and adopts this reducer, which effectively reduces the length of the fuselage and is convenient for users to install.

Whole Series, Full Range
Kenneth has a full range series of heating mixers, capacity from lab scale 10 liter to industrial production scale 1,500 liter. Full range series of cooling miers, capacity from 200 liter to 6000 liters. Throughput of PVC compounds can be 30kg/hr(SHR-10) to 4,000kg/hr(SHR-1500).

The machine structures of Kenneth heating mixer are made of carbon steel been welded together by experienced welder. Inner surface of mixer tank, mixing tools, discharger inner surface wherever contacted with resin are made of stainless steel 304. The solid machine structures minimize vibration meanwhile the precise assemble of all mechanical parts ensures a comfortable noise level even at intensive mixing operation.

Strict process control during fabrication and assembly of single machinery or whole line. Kenneth mixers and mixing lines offer multiple certificates as requested e.g. CE, UL, CSA etc.
Intuitive Operation&Diverse Control Modes
Depends on the automation level and related accessories, the control of mixing process can be manual, semi-automatic or fully automatic. The first 2 control modes are usually achieved via button operation on the electrical cabinet. While the fully automatic mode requires an additional touch screen(Siemens S7 PLC) which visualizes all processes vividly, integrates all control operations and real time monitoring of all components etc. Remote maintenance module is optional for remote diagnosis of malfunctions or update of control system.

In the PVC applications, the cooling mixer always works with hot mixer as a batch mixing combination for the preparation of PVC dry blends.
